About Us
In 2008, when we bought 'Misha' from Heromiari Boxers, John Verspay talked with us about becoming Boxer breeders. We had recently moved from Melbourne to the fresh clean air and open space of Gembrook and were embracing our life style change.
With over 40 years experience breeding Boxers, John’s knowledge is vast. We listened, talked, watched, researched, investigated, studied and learnt. We passed the DOGS Victoria breeder examination and so was born the breeder prefix 'MURPHASTIC'.
Where Are We?
Gembrook is about 50kms south-east of Melbourne, perched at the southern-most ridge of the Yarra Valley at the end of the famous Puffing Billy railroad line. With magnificent views to the North, South and West, Gembrook is known as the gateway to bush country. It’s a little town adjacent to Bunyip State Park with a colourful history of timber and gem mining.
About 3 kms from Gembrook, overlooking Bunyip State Park with views of Gippsland, is where you will find Murphastic Boxers. Here the air is clean, the skies are huge, the views fantastic, the surroundings are green and the locale tranquil.
